Whenever I like to enter the track to feel the autosport, the World Dheeraj Championship or whatever I am, what are cars.
Along with my perspective, a little height is always good to increase the spectacle. It does not have much chance in Qatar last week, of course: Tracks do not come too much flatter or featureless. But I really had no objection. This time I was not out to see there, I had to listen there.
This was not my nose that I needed to press against the fence, but an ear. A new machine arrived in Hypercar class of WeC 2025 season-ownerAnd I had to listen to the talk in anger and as close as possible.
I am talking about Aston Martin’s Vulkari Le Mans Hypercar, or especially its 6.5-liter Aspirated V12 engine is developed by Cosworth.
The drivers have been talking about its voice for some time. Harry tinklelThe first to test the Valkyrie completely, making it big on me. He is not ashamed to accept that when he has gone on track on one of his teammates. Racing team’s heart Just behind the wheel to listen. And to smile, there is no doubt.
When I did not disappoint to hear various convenience around the track in Qatar during practice. Valkyrie business feels and is an ideal firearm for farty turbos that numerically dominate the hypercar grid. Till now we have to do the only non-turbo in the pack with a 5.5-liter V8 of Cadilac.

Noise is an important element of motor racing appeal, at least it has always been for me. My first came to the brand hatch in the British Grand Prix in 1978. Certainly Kosworth DFV’s bark dominated, but I got to hear Ferrari And Alpha Romeo Flat -12S that blocked the podium on that day and not forgetting one of the new turbos from the Renault of Matra behind the ligier.
They will never be able to catch my own 11 years old!
When I was sitting under the Padock Hill Bend, I could tell what was coming before seeing. It should be in my mind, and a lot has been done through my 30-plus years reporting on long distance racing. When I first picked in Padock in 1990, we had a large capacity of Jaguar V12, Turbos, which included Mercedes’ Earth-Moving V8 and Porsche’s flat-Six and four-rotor mazda engines.
Think of all the great sportscar powerplant, I have got the privilege to listen directly under Mulsanne in the last few years: Four-liter V12 in Ferrari 333SP, Jude V10 of various capabilities, Rotary of Mazda and any number of V8S and V6S.
There is a real enthusiasm around the car, and it can only help attract fans on the track, as well as to television, computer and phone to the eyes and ears worldwide
There is also a strange four-pot turbo. And I can say that I snatched one of a W12 engine note, the MGN unit behind a Norma Group C car, which never out of the padock in 1990: I have heard that it caught fire under its canopy and immediately bang!
Diversity has always been one of the calling cards of discipline, in which I have dedicated my working life. In our golden age of sportscar racing, we have a grid of cars that all look different, and do it happily, but so far the shame is that they all looked the same except caddy.
Of V8 Turbos, BMW is best for my ears, and I will choose Toyota as my favorite of V6S. But I was not excited about coming to those conclusions.
I did when the vulcari went straight to the top of the chart – Sorry Cadilac! – In Qatar. But I was not done with my trackside trip to perform miracles on the engine note of the Vulkari.
Neither Vulkari made a point in Qatar, but it has not reduced enthusiasm

The widespread expansion of the Lossel International Circuit was probably not the best place to fill the noise of that V12, especially when the wind was blowing a storm. Attach more somewhere else, I think, better.
So I can’t wait for WEC to come to Imola in April and then spa in May. I am thinking that this is when I go to Belgium after ACIC Minorly in Italy and then Cewaja and perhaps EO Roose when I go to Belgium.
In the double downhill left in the spa, I have a favorite rock, sitting on when I make it out of the padock, as much as I try to learn something to inspire my passion to try to learn. But I am thinking this time, I may need to reach there before whatever session I have been selected.
The arrival of Valkyrie in the WEC and IMSA Sportscar Championships, in which it will start running in 12 hours this month, is a major filler for top-flight sportscar racing.
There is a real enthusiasm around the car, and it can only help attract fans on the track, as well as to television, computers and phones to eyes and ears worldwide.
There is going to be endless Aficionados with the same idea as I come to the spa. I am a little worried that someone can beat me on my rock. But does it really mean if I have returned to the track?
