Week Kitchen: Green and Charming English style in wood

After living in their historic 1835 house for a few years, it was Milton, Massachusetts, couple with three children to better match the traditional attraction of your home. Their existing location felt tight and dated with aging white cabinets and black countertops. A wood -tops island and a disruptive range hood over a peninsula rose a limited place. He hired architects and interior designer Kerry Murray to reconsider the floor plan and make a big kitchen with a better relationship with a high classic look, modern functionality and surrounding areas.

Murray pushed the kitchen into adjacent den, which she shifted to another area. The former kitchen became a breakfast area which is open to the new kitchen. The extended footprint is allowed for an attractive experience with a large walnut island that gives three people a seat. While channeling the English country style, Murray created custom cabinets, depicted a soft blue-gray, inspired by the color of common pigeons seen around London. Unwanted brass hardware, countertops, custom sinks and original parquet for backplash exposed the beam and soopstone.
