Architect Tom Kundig of the Seattle firm Olson Kundig has designed homes around the world, but when the opportunity arose to build the Blue Ridge House on vineyard land in Delaplaine, Virginia, 50 miles west of Washington, D.C., “I honestly He couldn’t have been more excited,” he recalls. “That landscape is so beautiful. I got lucky.”
