Peak Design is finally selling a roller bag

after Tease weekPeak design has fully announced a long -awaited additional for its lineup: a roller bag. It has everything that fans of the company hope: a careful design, carbon fiber and room for a ton camera gear.

While it is called the Roller Pro, the 60 mm custom-designed wheels are probably the least interesting thing about it. There are four of them, making the bags easy to maneuver at a crowded airport, and the company says they are being transformed into a breakdown.

The real star of the show, however, is the handle. It is made up of two solid pieces of carbon fiber, which the peak design says that it allows to be stifer than the traditional telescope handle, while only one third of the case takes place in the case. It also promises that the design will not get jammed when you are trying to put it back in the bag. You can set the handle to expand to 90 cm (35 “) or 100 cm (39”), and the part you actually touch is characteristic premium, which is made of mechanized aluminum.

Low-profile design jointly with the expandable capacity of the bag, it means that it can hold up to 39L, while still qualifying as a carry-on, even for international flights. Empty, its weight is about 4kg (8.8LB).

Outside, the bag is a hybrid between a soft shell and a hard shell. Half of the rear is rigid polycarbonate, but half of the front is soft, with a built -in padded laptop slot and pockets for items such as glasses, keys and notebooks. It comes in three colors: black, “eclipse” red and “sage” green.

The company says that the entire bag is Weatherproof, and there are gear loops on the outside that allow you to easily attach items such as a tripi or roll up blankets.

Unlike some backpacks of peak design, the roller pro default does not come up with the underlying camera storage. However, the company’s existing camera cubes are compatible with it, and it is also releasing a new “X-Large” cube that fully fits the roller bag and may have a 400 mm prime lens. Like the rest of the peak design cubes, it has a handle on every side, so if you have to check your roller suddenly, you can take out the gear of your camera out of it and take it to the plane with you.

The XL cube is designed to make a completely nest in the roller Pro.

Peak design says that by adding two products together, you will get a bag that is easy to work directly. Instead of opening like a traditional bag, which exits like a book, which is almost double the place, peak designs in the roller Pro say what a “drobridge” design says. It lets you open the top, and it remains open, gives the bag “L” shape. This means that you can open it and get immediate access to your camera gear, and if you often need to stay inside and out, you can leave it open.

With several products of peak design, the roller separates itself with the details. There is an organization panel on the top lid for small items, which can be rolled and if you do not need it, the stove can be done, and a cord system to keep everything after the pack. There are handles on each side of the bag, so you can catch it, whether it is the orientation on the belt, and an airtag and secret pockets for your passport. The interior is felt a “auto-inspired”, and all zippers can be secured with the same lock.

Bonus feature: The back has rubber legs that prevent it from slipping around when open, and it can help reduce shock.

As you can probably guess, none of it is cheap. The peak design will start selling the bag in retail in August at MSRP of $ 599. The XL camera cube will cost $ 139. Along with many other products, however, the peak design will be A kickstarter campaign For the Roller Pro from 4 March till 17 April, where you will be able to receive it at a discount, although accurate pricing was not available.

The company says it will ship the bag to Kickstarter Backers in June, although it is now a good time to mention that pledging for the crowdfonding campaign is not similar to ordering a product through an online store. Peak design has set a solid record of using such campaigns to launch new products with 13 successful campaigns, but there is always some level of risk with a kickstarter.

Disclaimer: Remember to do your research with any crowdfunding project. DPREVIEW only makes its best to share projects that look legitimate and come from reliable creators, but with any crowdfunded campaign, there is never a risk of product or service.

The roller of peak design is the future of the goods design

San Francisco, CA (March 4, 2025)-Peak design is yet to introduce its roller accessories with its most anticipated product release: Roller Pro Carry-on. This new journey connects soft-handed styles, hard-edited durability and adaptive features to support any adventure required, whether it is for business, creative discovery or just for entertainment. It is designed for modern travelers, whose requirements are multidimensional, but are always based in function, form and access.

The cookie-cotter roller on the market was tired of the crowd-it is mainly off-the-shelf parts and completely with the custom parts and assembly with minimal consultations-new consultations-rolling-roller pro-roller Pro. This enabled the brand to address the deficiencies such as poor-made handles, waste places, unwanted chlamshell access and ‘old’ boring aesthetics.

Roller Pro defined feature is slimdrive ™ of peak design-a patent, low-profile carbon fiber handle, engineer for a minimum amount of maximum power. Standard roller handle of-the-shelf telescoping is made of aluminum tubes, which make large streaks on the bottom of the traditional roller bag and create a ruined place around them. The roller Pro handle is made of single-stage flat carbon fiber tubes, causing it to a large extent while taking just one third of the volume, which maximizes both packing spaces and provides a better handling experience. Custom-engineers glide smoothly into a range of surfaces with a finger-roller pro finger made inside the corners of the bag to adapt to the coupled-intrinier storage with 60 mm wheels.

The roller Pro also claims a unique hybrid manufacture-a light polycarbonate shell is covered with the signature varsail ™ fabric of peak design-which provides hard-edited protection with soft-way features, all in a clean, classic beauty. A front EDC Pocket has protected storage for passports, chargers, headphones and a laptop/tablet. Unlike traditional chlamshell-style rollers, the roller Pro has an innovative ‘Drawbridge’ opening system with a compact footprint, providing passengers to packing in limited places such as airplane corridors, busy event spaces, or tight hotel rooms. Additionally, the expansionable capacity of the bag, from 34L to 39L, adjusts home returnings with those with whom they have been abandoned.

The busy passenger will be rejoiced in the Roller Pro Nifty packing features and thoughtful details. An internal organization panel acts as small items or dedicated dirty cloth storage, and can be stove to create a large amount in a large amount that reveals a hidden airtag pocket. An ownership cord hook ™ protects the internal retention system material, yet retreats immediately when not in use. Outside, the 360-Digry Grab handle enables quick snagging with a conveyor belt or overhead compartment, and cord hook ™ gear loops offer jackets, umbrellas, or even offer an outer carry of a tripod.

Not forgetting its roots, the peak design is releasing a new ex-loz-shaped camera cube that fills the entire amount of roller Pro and holds a 400 mm prime lens. The ex-big camera cube, or any small size is available, becomes a mobile creative workstation for photographers in the bag location or in the studio. The camera cubes also disappear quickly, as soon as they install, eliminates the requirement of photographers so that a dedicated camera can be a roller.

The peak is perfect for commitment to the stability of the design, the roller Pro’s fabric shell is 100% recycled and bluzine-infinite, and the entire product is PFAS-free and climate label certified. Supported by the lifetime guarantee of peak design, the roller Pro is finalized, which represents a long -term investment in high quality travel gear. Roller Pro is 21.8 x 14 x 9 ”and 8.8LBS has international carry-on approved and watches.

Peter Daring, founder and CEO of Peak Design, said, “Inside almost every roller bag in the market, you will find a floppy fabric liner, and under that liner you will find two big tubes.” “A plastic chlamshell with large, fat tubes: This is an easy way to make a roller. We chose a difficult path. When we told our factory that we wanted to re -design things from the ground, they told us that we were crazy. But, we pushed them and found a better way. Will become
