Architecture and interior design firm S+PS Architectshas shared photos of a penthouse apartment in Mumbai, India, featuring two striking orange spiral staircases.
Stepping inside the penthouse, there is an open-plan living room with a variety of seating areas and décor that matches the orange staircase.
The living space is supported on one side by a wooden unit with oversized curved copper handles that accommodate multiple service spaces and on the window side is supported by a hollow gray marble portal. This portal defines an elevated seating area with a hidden drinks cabinet (behind a sliding marble shutter) and a suspended cast glass bar counter that overlooks the vast greenery of Aare below.
The living room leads to the dining area, located at the bottom of an orange spiral staircase. The dining area occupies a double-height space and flows onto a sunlit deck filled with plants.
The first spiral staircase connects the social areas of the penthouse with more private areas such as bedrooms and bathrooms.
A second staircase, also containing hidden lights, leads to the outdoor terrace.
The outdoor terrace includes a dining area and a few separate outdoor lounge areas.
Inside, each bedroom has a different style with wood used as an accent, while the second bedroom has a circular window that looks out onto the double-height space of the dining area.
In the walk-in closet, there is ample space for clothes and shoe storage with custom shelving.
The individual bathrooms range from blue and mirrored tiles to curved tiles and a unique shower with a circular base.
