Williams rivals can be “our run over”, its focus can be replaced by 2026

Williams Racist Alex albon The 2025 Formula is making a spectacular start for 1 season, picking points on four of the five Grands Prix. Now, the Thai driver says that his team is using its current look the most, as it knows that an advantage is usually not forever.

The British squads are currently in the middle of their best start for the F1 season in nearly a decade. Williams sit comfortably in fifth place in the standing of the constructive with 25 points of his name, Albon picked up 20 of them and managed to finish fifth in the Australian Grand Prix.

“I want to be realistic, I think I have always been consistent – if I am completely honest and possibly arrogant about it,” Albon said after Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.

“I think our car has always been quite peak and I have always felt that my performances have been constant since I have included in Williams. It is probably now being highlighted that we have a consistent car every weekend, I can perform continuously. That’s what I think.”

Success may be short -lived in F1, and Albon says that his team is fighting for every point that may manage in the early stages of the 2025 season. “We have to be quite realistic,” calls albon. “We don’t know what everyone is doing in the matter of priority for next year. We have gone for a hot start, the kind of dynamic changes we want to do in this season, or sacrifice in the next season.”

The team’s principal James Walls was committed to renunciation of the 2025 season repeatedly, if it means that the new rules of F1 are getting the best start in 2026. The upcoming regulations require a complete overhaul from the teams as the new power units fall on the track and the complex new aerodynamics will determine the shapes of the next year’s machinery.

While Albon is confident that Williams has “one of the strongest midfield cars” on the grid right now “is wary of his rivals – who are not laying all their eggs in the 2026 basket.

“We want to take a big step for the next year,” says albon. “Now is the time to score the points, in fact. With a good start, we have to score the points in every weekend. We don’t know when the next midfield team is going to upgrade and when they do, it can be our run over.”

Another factor that can help keep the current run of Williams alive is the calendar of F1. The series has already run five races in six weeks, and the F1 heads for Miami for the next Grand Prix of the season are closed at just one week before.

Albon called the 2025 calendar “tireless” because there are a lot of races in such a short time, but admitted that quick changes between events could play very well in the hands of Williams.

“A lot of teams haven’t bought upgrade yet this year, and we are using it,” says Albon. “Because of how tightly some of these breeds are met, when you start with a good car in Race One, you can take it for some race, that’s why it’s so important.”
