Williams The Formula 1 Stallwart Axle Cruc has been appointed as its Chief Operating Director, abolishing his 15 -year tenure with the opponent Save Squad.
Cruce was the chief operational officer of the Swiss outfit, but will now start his new role in place of Fred Bruceo on 1 September, which are ready to return to their original Canada.
This would not be the first relationship with the Cruce with Williams as he was the first BMW engineer when the German Market operated the team’s cars from 2000 to 2005 – including the second place in the standing of 2002 and 2003 construents.
“I am thrilled to join Williams Racing and can’t wait to start,” the cross said.
“Williams is a prestigious Formula 1 team with great ambition and speed, and I am eager to work with everyone in Grove to give success on the track.
“As a young engineer, I saw professionalism and passion for the first time in the team because we finished second in the Constructors Championship-there is incomplete business there, and the target should be to finish first.”
Williams has made a difficult magic in recent years, for example in 2022 the teams ended in the table, but the British organization has currently progressed with the fifth squad in the championship after 13 rounds in 2025.

Team boss James Walls said, “I am excited to welcome Axle in Williams Racing because we continue to invest in people, technology and infrastructure needs to achieve our goal of returning to the grid.”
“The Axel F1 is the latest top talent to connect with us from within the Padock and will continue the important work launched by Fred to make our operations really championship-level.
“I want to thank Fred that whatever he has done, and we all wish him all the best because he returns home to Canada.”
This means that Bruceo left Williams after joining in April 2023, after 26 years of career with aerospace giant Pratt and Whitney.
“After actively commencing on our Parivartan Yatra in the last two years, we are now beginning to look at the clear signals of progress – both track from a business result and performance perspective,” Bruceo said.
“With this permanent positive speed in the entire organization, time seems right for me to return home and start the next chapter of my journey.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved and above, people are thankful to passion and dedication – they are true hearts of Williams. This team is being welcomed in this team and the world of Formula 1 is a real privilege.”
The current Williams Design Director Matt Harman has also been promoted as technical director – engineering, originally from Alpine last year.
