Why Vastapane has a new floor in Miami – but her engine can catch her back

Explanation here is two times. Mercedes has set up a new power unit for this weekend, while Red Bull has returned to an old.

While the development of the engine is frozen, which means that the new unit of Mercedes is technically the same specification, a fresh can still provide a slight advantage because the lump sum display with accumulated use cycles declines. On the other hand, Red Bull, used a fresh power unit in Jeddah – a true power circuit – and according to sources within the team, is back into a used engine at the end of this week at Honda’s request.
