Zes announced her latest lens for digital photographers today – and this is a sentence that I could not write for six years! It is no secret that Zees took a long gap from the world of photography, but now they are back with a pair of oats lenses: 50 mm f/1.4 and 85 mm f/1.4.
Both these lenses get the new “Ml” designation of Zeiss, which means that they were specifically designed for mirrorless cameras. They will be available in Sony E, Canon RF and Nikon Z Mounts later this year. Given the outstanding performance of the original, DSLR-based OTUS lens of Zeiss, I am very excited about this new pair of lenses. And beyond today’s special announcement, it is expected that it is the beginning of a long line of new Zes lenses for mirrorless cameras!
He said, both these lenses are only manual focus, and they are not cheap. Will sell 50 mm in $ 2500, and will sell for 85 mm $ 3000. This is less expensive than the DSLR OTUS lens of Zeiss, but today there is a major difference in photography market conditions: strong competition. ZEISS has announced the introduction of a new Otus ML family, especially a series of lenses designed for professional photographers and ambitious visual story creators, which require the highest optical performance and accurate mechanics for complete creative control. For the beginning, OTUS Ml is available in two focal lengths: 1.4/50 lenses suitable for versatile photography and 1.4/85 lens adapted for portrait work. Inspired by veteran Zes Oats family, these new lenses bring the famous optical excellence of Zes for mirrorless cameras: Sony1 E, canon2 RF- and Nikon3 Z-mount.

OTUS Ml Lenses are engineers to provide exceptional optical performance, revealing details that may not be dissected to the naked eye.
