Week Kitchen: Midscentary Style and Modern Support



The owner of this Minnesota house – professional musicians and California implants – was designed for modern architecture. According to local learning, the house was designed in 1954 by a protect of Frank Lloyd Wright. It is a magnificent house filled with iconic midscentory details.

However, the kitchen was not so spectacular. It was closed from the rest of the house, which made it dark. The devices were old, and at some point someone had added red carpeting and a harvest gold range and countertops. While retaining the footprint of the kitchen, the interior designer Cholk was able to open the room, provided enough storage and countertop space, and makes a look that makes Jibs Jibs with the classic midcover style of the house.
