Week Kitchen: Bright and open with a hot walnut island

The New England couple bought their Grand Cape-style House knowing that they would eventually re-prepare the dated kitchen. The parents of the three daughters thought that the overall layout acted, but they disliked the visually over-aged wooden cabinets and a strange two-tier island. They wanted something lighter and bright, but not especially a white kitchen.

For help, he hired Granite State Cabinet’s designer Jackie Frebberg and Orchard Hill interior interior planner Shayne Mitchell. Now, the circumference cabinet in a light gray-blue color adds sophisticated and soothing style. A new one-level streamlined island in the natural black walnuts heats the blind space and provides adequate seating for the whole family. Concrete-look perimeter countertops and a quartzite island countertop add interest. Painted nickel-gap paneling and a classic open plate rack cabinet bring attractive touch. The updated equipment and a revived bar increase the field function.
