Week Bathroom: Special details create a great experience

After working with the couple at many homes over the years, interior designer Genin Bogart knew his style and how he preferred to live. So when they needed a house that could bring three generations under one roof, she was involved from the beginning. He even helped during the search, leading him to the Northbrook, Illinois of the 1970s French country-inspired home. She was there in the entire design and renewal stages and coordinated the move after the house was ready.

There was primary bathroom at the top of the renewal list. “As a space central for the daily rest and quality of life of our customers, it was needed to reflect the overall aesthetics of their home,” says Bogart. “The budget for this room was deliberately generous, allowing us to detect many possibilities.” This included expanding the small shower stall and excluding it with magnificent bells and whistles. Other highlights are a pride that maximizes storage, hot floors and beautiful custom details that personalize the space.
