Week bathroom: depth and sophisticated style with heat

A tight layout, dated finish and strange closet made this Oregon Primary An Suite Bathroom smaller than its footprint. To create a place that better adapters the needs of a single homeowner, designer Amy Piercene re -acted and refined the style to give more open, functional and timeless modern retreat.

By finishing the two cupboards – in a bathroom and in a bedroom – and transferring the door to the primary suit, Piercene was able to expand the bathroom up to 14 sq ft and introduce a more efficient floor plan. The new design includes dual floating walnut vanity with storage towers, a huge low-catch shower that spreads the width of the room and improves the entire light and ventilation.

A restrained palette of white, black, brown and brown exposes rich materials, including Carrara marble mosaic tile and warm wood cabinet. Geometric-pattern wall tiles add drama and dimensions, while lux brass accents bring a sophisticated touch. The result is a sophisticated, light bathroom with smart storage and permanent style.
