Jannik Sinner has accepted a three -month ban from tennis, as the team’s mistakes after world number one had tested him twice for a mark of the banned substance Clostabol in March last year. Suspension from 9 February to 4 May means that the second Grand Slam of the Sinner season will be free to play in the French Open, which begins in the Rolland Garos on 25 May. In a statement, Sinner stated that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) admitted that he had “no intention and did not get any competitive advantage from two positive tests”.
Australian Open Champion Cinner has always said that Clostabol entered his system when his physiotherapist used a spray that was used to treat the cut, then provided massage and sports therapy.
“The matter had now been hanging on me for almost a year and in this process there was still a long time to walk with a decision, perhaps only at the end of the year,” Sinner said.
“I have always admitted that I am responsible for my team and feel that Wada’s strict rules are an important security for the game that I like. On that basis I based on 3- month approval basis Has accepted Wada’s proposal to resolve. “
Wada separately stated that “the sinner did not intend to cheat” but he would serve his suspension as he is responsible for his entry functions.
The agreement between sinful and Wada means that the sinner will be able to play in front of fans of his home in Rome Open who stops just after the end of his suspension and the final Big Clay is the final Big Clay court tournament in front of Rolland Garos.
