We tested 7 Graham Crackers Tastes-One is our favorite

Graham crackers have been a mainstay of American pantry since 1829, when a presbyterian minister Sylvester Graham came with full wheat crackers. The original crackers were without fats, sugar and salt, and conical like cardboard were meant to discourage unethical ideas-and very much, sweet graham is very different from crackers we know and love today, fortunately for us. They are necessary Smoors And, when uprooted and thrown with butter, make excellent Crusts For Cheesecake And Dessert barThey also create a great snack (one that our ultraMarathoning editor, RoshelTakes oath for carbo-loading). But not all Graham firecrackers are the same.

To find very good Graham crackers, we tasted seven different brands, which you can find online or in your local supermarket. We took a sample without knowing which Graham cracker was, and our editors tasted their way through seven separate crackers, we tightened the results and crowned a holistic winner, which we we have our own The campfire, as well as another qualified contender will be happy to bring.

Criterion

A good graham cracker should indicate the earth with whole wheat flour; Without reminiscent of sawdust or cardboard, it should take a relatively nutritious taste. It should be well crisp and strong, but is not so difficult that it is difficult to break easily with your teeth. There should be a subtle sweetness; Honey, jaggery, or vanilla notes are welcome, but it should not be too much. Graham crackers should simply be thicker enough to sandwich a S’More, but not so thick that it is impossible to bite them.

Overall winner

Nabisco Graham original

Our editorial director, DanielThese tasting “classic”, and described them as “ventilated and crisp”. Similarly, our associate editorial director, MeganThought that one of them was a “solid Graham cracker texture” and “well crisp”. Our senior social media editor, Kelly“Indication of warming spices” was detected, which probably came from jaggery. Although Megan found him a little blurred, he appreciated that he was not very sweet. “That’s fine! It needs marshmollo and chocolate,” she wrote. But then, not all Graham are crackers?

Our editors enjoyed honey notes of these crackers; Daniel once again thought that this “classic” tasted. Although Kelly enjoyed the taste of these crackers, she uprooted them a bit: “I bite and the whole cracker disintegrated on my shirt.” However, other tasters, preferred their crispness.

in conclusion

With the exception of a brand, which tasted the stale and a burnt outstest, most of the Graham crackers we tried, most of them were very good. Our winner, Nabisco Classic Graham, was the only brand we tried that there was no honey; Fireworks are sweet instead with both sugar and jaggery. All other brands included sugar and honey and/or jaggery.

Because Graham crackers are usually a compatible for a vessel or other sweets – either as a crust or a vehicle for s’Mores – the quality of the cracker you used may not be as important as The quality of the material added with you, such as your pie filling or chocolate and marshmolo for S’Mores. If you are planning to cook or cook with Graham crackers, then whatever brand you choose is likely to be satisfied. If you plan to eat firecrackers on your own, however, you want our winner, Nabisco classic Graham and favorite days of honey -tasted Graham want to have a more delicious cracker to have a breakfast like crackers.

Our testing system

All flavor tests are fully hidden and conducted with brands without discussion. In random order tasters taste taste samples. For example, Taster A may have a sample first a taste, while the first sample will taste six. This is to prevent the fatigue of the palate from giving benefits to one sample incorrectly. Tasters are asked to fill the tasting sheets ranking samples for various criteria. All data is tarnished and the results are calculated without any editorial input so that we can get the most fair representation possible.
