Vinypeg Blue Bombers defeated Hamilton Tiger-Cats 40–3 in front of a crowd of 32,343 fans at Princess Auto Stadium on Saturday afternoon. I have thoughts on the game below.
Crime awakens
Vinypeg’s crime was one of its best sports of the year on Saturday, as Zach Collaros fulfilled 370 yards, a touchdown and 25 out of 20 pass efforts for zero barriers in its return to lineup.
Veteran quarterbacks faced very little pressure in the first half as they quickly and accurately passed to the small and medium-limit of the ground. His lonely deep shot of 44-yard touchdown pass for Dillon Mitchell, when Hamilton barely worked on the play-action and the collaros rolled to its right, set his feet, and gave a bomb that the defensive back was unable to break the Dasoon Amos.

Relatively after the second quarter, Calleros threw a beautiful deep shot from a double-mow for Ontaria Wilson, which Vinypeg found below for a-yard line. Vinypeg’s safety was fantastic on the game as eight players stayed only four Hamilton guards to block.

The run game has to be effective for play-action to work, and Brady Olivera had another solid day, running 15 times for 98 yards and 56 yards caught four passes. Chris Strewler, who faced harsh criticism after completing only three passes in the last week’s victory over Ottawa, ran seven times for 26 yards and three touchdowns.
It is surprising that Vinypeg’s passing is capable of completing the attack when firing on all cylinders – the exact pass distributed on time, security that provides quarterbacks over time, and receivers that can secure the ball and play after catch.
The execution was impressive, clearly, but also realized that the best aggressive game plan Blue Bombers have taken place throughout the year. If this can be a sign of the coming things, there is no reason that this team cannot make noise in the playoffs, even if they are forced to go on the road.
Viva la vaval
Train Vaval returned the initial kickoff for a touchdown, 98 yards, being untouched in the process. Jelane Smith, J Person, and Michael Chris-A had major blocks to clean the lane, then Waval won the West Sideline Footers.

Outside the state of Minnesota, the fraudster finished the game with 160 yards and five total returns for a touchdown.
Now with League-Legging Four Touchdown this season, is the Vaval the Frontner to win the most outstanding stop? He has also recorded 21 defensive tackle, three special teams dealing with and a blockage in the year.
One can also argue that Vaval should be named the player of the most outstanding special teams in the league. At the forefront of that award, Hamilton Returner Yashayah Woodon recorded five kickoff returns for 101 yards.
There are four weeks left in the regular session, Vaval has firmly put himself firmly in the awards conversation at the end of the year.
DAA
Venypeg’s protect was very good on Saturday afternoon, limited Tiger-Cats to three points and put Bo Levi Mitchell in 212 passing yard.
Michelle often has a lot of time to survey the ground, but anyone is forced to throw the ball, force him to go down or run.
Blue Bombers finally came home for a sack when Kiri Wilson took Mitchell down as he tried to flee the late pocket in the first half. James Witors finished first of their first two sacks in the third quarter when they left the Brendon Boarder around the edge with speed and brought a punt from back to the back. His second sack came in time on backup quarterback Taylor Powell.
This was not a great day for Blue Bombers against the run as Greg Bell ran 11 times for 88 yards, including 30-yard runs on Hamilton’s first half of the first half of Hamilton. Bell recalled Tony Jones in an open field after capturing the pass to quickly convert the second and 10 at the beginning of the second quarter-a rareness for the middle linebacker’s middle linebacker.
The unit grabbed a few brakes in the game when Mitchell remembered Kenny Laler and Tim White in the final area, both opened at that time. Regardless, the team managed two takes when Willy Jefferson and Kieri Wilson recorded a pass breakup on the main third-down gambling by Tiger-Cats.
Kenny Return
Kenny Laler made his comeback to Vinypeg and caught only two passes for 34 yards.
Bo Levi Mitchell witnessed Laler twice in the second quarter, but both of them became incomplete as Dexter Lawson Junior had a good position in coverage. Demero Houston also broke what would be a 27-yard reception from Lallor in the third quarter.
Blue Bombers have welcomed a lot of familiar faces in Vinypeg with a video tribute, including Andrew Harris, Adam Bight and Buck Pierce. Gi, he left once first signed a large-packed free-agent contract with Elks in 2022-but when Edmonton visited Princess Auto Stadium that year, he did not wear clothes. This was the first time he played a game in Vinypeg as a member of the opposing team.
For example, it was amazing to see the Big-Play receiver unconcerned by their old team on Saturday. I am sure that some of the recent comments of Laler in the club’s brass media were not thrilled about, but they still helped the team win two gray cups and qualified for two more.
Timber
Blue Bombers hit a rare trick play late in the first quarter, when in the formation of short yardage on the second and short, Chris Strewler rolled to his right and hit Nick Demsky with a small pass, which ended for 23 yards.
The pass was a symbol of unpredictable, imaginative sports-cholling types promised by the crook aggressive coordinator Jason Hogan earlier this year-a prediction that has become mostly unaffected. It also seemed appropriate that Dameski had shocked the 84 consecutive game streak with a catch last week when the Strewler failed to get her.
Funny enough, CFL tweeted a video of Dameski making a reception on Saturday, indicating a caption with a caption that his streak was still intact. As the publication of this article, the wrong tweet is still up.
Make good
Supporting football usually occurs when a phase of the game creates a big game that helps another-one long pant return that provides crime with the status of the immediate field, a time-consuming aggressive drive that gets a lot of time for defense, or a safety that puts two points on the board when the crime struggle.
In a way, Ontaria Wilson played himself aimal football through the third quarter.
The second-year receiver took a fine, which wiped out most of the catch-rains of Brady Olivera, which went close to 60 yards and ended deeply in the Hamilton region. After two plays, Wilson made a 56-yard catch on a double-moving, which gave Vinypeg down for the first time in Hamilton’s One-Yard line, which made a-yard touchdown run from Chris Strewler in the following play. The play was initially ruled by a touchdown, although it was clear on the replay that Wilson was less than the goal line.
Every player makes mistakes, but it is important for them to make. Wilson did exactly the same way on Saturday, making sure that the drive is still finished in a touchdown.
Big block
Willy Jefferson remains more as a volleyball player as a football player, tipping a pass on the final game of the first half to keep Hamilton out of the final area.
Tiger-Cat used to gamble from Vinnipag’s eight-yard line and gambling on four, and Mitchell threw Kenny Lolar, which had hit Detroic Nichols before the ball came. On the replay, Jefferson clearly got a hand on the ball, which negatively negatively found what would be a penalty on Nichols for intervention.
First and tall
Vinypeg’s crime got into trouble twice in the first half, when the punishment forced him first and 19 and first-20. Brady Olivera took out the ball from the shotgun at both upcoming plays, for the first time at a distance of nine yards and the second time at 14 yards.
The aggressive coordinator Jason Hogan may need to change his call in a situation that is moving as a trend breaker, but it worked beautifully both times on Saturday. When you can change the first-and-meal to a proper distance, the drive is very easy to keep alive.
CH-Change
CFL unveiled a group of upcoming rules changes this week, which includes shortening of fields and end zones for 2027.
At the princess auto stadium, the official name for the line behind the end region is about 10 yards between the time limit – and the wall of the stadium. When that place grows up to about 20 yards in 2027, it will be interesting to see how additional space is used.
Knowing that Blue Bombers have cultivated a great sports-day atmosphere, it is possible that we can see a new field-level party area or two.
Regardless, something is expected to do something with additional rooms – and preferably more exciting than a group of additional advertising boards.
Truth and harmony
Blue Bombers hosted over 1,000 indigenous fans of northern communities for Saturday’s game, themed to Orange Shirt Day. There were orange T-shirts around the stadium, orange flags on the airplane that drive around the ground when the Vennipag scores, and the drum and dance performance in the Haftime.
These are all things that have been done in the previous truth and reconciliation sports, but the head officer Ben Major also announced the first punishment of the game in Ozibwe and English, which is very good. Major is fluent in English and French. The next time I run away with him, I have to ask him how much total languages he speaks.
Bear leaves
We always complain about it when it is bad, so it should be noted that the weather was perfect for the starting-end football for Saturday’s game. It was a soft south towards a soft south in the kickoff and no cloud in the sky.
When the leaves begin to turn and the wind starts to cool, it is the best time of the year. This means that playoff football is coming.
Bones clock
As the publication of this article, Manitoba Bisans saw Regina Ram with a score of 14–8 in Remach of last year’s Hardy Cup semi-finals. Cole Acew, a native of Vinypeg and an alumnus of St. Paul High School, started his first career in place of an injured Jackson Tachinski and thrown a touchdown pass and a blockage.
Fans of the Princess Auto Stadium must have seen that the new logo of the team was associated with a large -scale ‘university’ university on a large scale of Manitoba Bisans. The new color scheme – yellow, a different shade of brown, and new blue accents – instead of gold will take time to use, but the logo is great in itself.
next
Vinypeg Blue Bombers (8-7) are entering their third and final goodbye weeks of the season, which is probably much more necessary because they were not a break since the week 6. All will be eyeing Calgary Stampaders (8-6) and BC lions (8-7), when they meet in Vancouver on Saturday, October 4, Blue Bombers still expect.
