Trump also announced a plan to prevent the “flood” of imports, which threatens American manufacturers with 50% tariffs on kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity and related products, and 30% tariff on upholstered furniture.

He also said that he would impose 25% tariffs on heavy trucks manufactured outside the US, which aims to preserve domestic companies such as Peterbalt, Kenworth, Freightlineer and Mac trucks.

The post said, “To protect our great heavy truck manufacturers from the outstanding competition, I will apply 25% tariff to all ‘heavy (big!) Trucks’ created in other parts of the world, until October 1, 2025.”
