People living in a midwest city are known for their natural beauty and external entertainment, which are ringing alarm at a proposed data center with a price tag of $ 1.6 billion.

According to a press release on the city’s “Potential Data Center FAQ”, the proposal of the data center was brought to the city by Delaware-based balloonist, LLC, Web page. The operating company of the potential data center has not yet been made public.
“Currently, neither the council nor the public has been told who is the company behind the project,” Council Sydney Brainon told Fox Business via email. “What we have been told is that it is an American-based company and one of the five major technical firms.”

A Facebook group Called the “Stop the Menomony Data Center”, there are 2,000 members, whose positions cite water use and concerns about high electrical bills.

Council member Kodi Gentz said, “Many people either suspect a lot about the project or do not want to do anything with a data center, especially some other projects, other data centers that are created across the state and across the country.” Visconsin Public Radio.
“A lot of stories about the potentially associated negative results with a data center are coming out,” Gentz said.
