The Mexico Grand Prix expands the F1 contract by at least 2028

Formula 1 has signed a new three -year contract expansion with the promoters of Mexico Grand Prix to maintain the race on the calendar by 2028.

The 2025 edition of the race at Autodromeo Harmanos Rodrigue in Mexico City is one of its current contracts, with promoter CIE F1 to interact on new terms.

The race, which was revived in 2015, developed in one of the most popular events on the calendar, the previous year’s version depicts the total record weekend of 405,000 spectators in the circuit.

In view of the departure of Home Hero Sergio Perez from Red Bull and F1, the organizers have always had confidence that interest in the event would be enough to commit to a new deal.

Now it has happened, the promoters continued the support of the government to keep their programs running for at least three and years under the current monkey of Mexico City Grand Prix, signed a deal for 2026, 2027 and 2028.

“We are very excited to declare that Mexico GP will be held for three more years,” said CIE President and CEO Alejandro Sobran.

“We are deeply grateful to the government of Mexico City, Mexico City, Clara Brugada, our president, to Claudia Shinbaum, as well as from Formula 1 to Stephano Domainically, which has made it possible to continue bringing Formula 1 in our country.

F1 CEO Domainley said: “We are very excited to announce that Mexico City Grand Prix will remain part of our calendar through 2028 season.

“Formula 1 is energy, passion and spirit, and the unique atmosphere created by our fans in Mexico City every year is one of the most incredible and energetic experiences of our championship.”
