One can argue that Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Is a slim-down version of Galaxy S25+Telephoto camera. After all, two devices share the same display and roughly the same dimension, with the S25 edge quite thin, of course.

Therefore it is easy to assume that the Galaxy S25 edge is almost similar to the S25+, with some minor improvements that reduce overall weight. However, recently a side-by-side teardown video shows a lot. It turns out that Samsung was able to shave some grams from every component, not only the frame or back plate, for example.
The video is in Korean and follows through a full tear of the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25+, and weighs each component. The video ends with a broad chart that compares different components.
Samsung was mostly able to cut weight from the battery and the middle frame. The battery on the edge is 12.6 grams lighter, while the middle frame is 2.8 grams light, mainly due to the use of titanium instead of aluminum. Engineers also shaved some grams from motherboard, camera, back panel, NFC + MST module, vibration motor and speaker.
The weight difference between the components pile up to 27 grams, which means that the S25 age is 27 grams lighter at 163 grams and also 1.5 mm thin.
