Text details provided by architects. The concept behind Casa El Arborto originates with a desire to create an introspective place that is attached to the surrounding nature, which is submerged in a forest of Arenus and Melis. The challenge was to find a harmonious balance between the succulent landscape and everyday domestic places. It is obtained through the use of balance galleries, an architectural resource contained deeply in the Chile tradition. Gallery allows the dreamed natural light filtering through trees to enter the interior spaces, transforming the house into the performance of the natural environment; A place that produces thoughts of contemplation and refuge.
