When Swiss unveiled its new first class cabins last month, it saved the best details for the previous.
The new first class, which the airline has planned to introduce to Airbus A350-900 at the end of this year, has a suit-style seating facility in a type of 1-2-1 configuration: Window offers a huge private seating for a passenger “single suit”, while the center “suite plus” option can be configured on the seat traveling together.

The Grand Suite allows the travelers to book one of the single suits in the center suit plus and the corridor to combine in a large room, including the corridor. It can accommodate three passengers.
This large joint suit can act as a conference room, bedroom or office, Swiss said in a press release announcing the product. The entire location will be attached by a 6-foot high wall, like individual suites.
“With our new Swiss First Grand Suit, we are expanding our first class service products with an option,” the Chief Commercial Officer of Swiss Haik Birlenbach said in a statement, which is specifically targeted for our top premium customers, who are looking for more privacy and even more secrecy to design our personal space on board. “

The new product will be available at A350 when it will start flying between Boston and Zurich in January, and Swiss says it will continue to introduce the Grand Suite as it takes more A350s delivery. The airline says it plans to resume its existing Airbus A330 and Boeing 777s with the new product.
It is not clear whether the grand suit will be booked with points and miles, although this is not possible: Swiss says that the premium experience will only be booked through its first class phone hotline.
