Stylish Londoners have officially ditched dresses for skirts

Over the past few years, London street style looks have revolved around dresses, whether it’s Regina Pyo’s puff-sleeved midi, the Rixo floral tea dress, or the Molly Goddard tulle creation. Judging by the recent street style photos, it’s clear that Londoners have taken a sigh of relief with their dress collections. The MVP of the street style scene in London at the moment is the skirt, from the bubble-hem mini to the sweeping check maxi. The general consensus is that the bolder the skirt, the better.

The skirt revival is happening in all four fashion cities, but london fashion week Designers are leading this work. Aaron Asch introduced a cheeky bubble-hem mini, Molly Goddard introduced playful midis adorned with ruffle hems, and Chopova Lovena’s signature pleated carabiner skirts have become one of the city’s most coveted fashion exports. Front row darling Miquita Oliver asked me to set a secondhand alert for it after wearing a Burberry check miniskirt to the show.
