To surprise many, Max Verustapane caught His fifth poll position of Formula 1 season On the same track, he described the Red Bull Car as “a demon” 12 months ago.
So Vestepen and Milton Keins-based team are capable of subduing that demon and F1 fulfills the fastest lap in history?
When asked by Autosport, Verustapane replied, “We have clearly learned and understood a lot from last year.” “The car is quite different from last year, although this season we still have a lot of struggle with the balance of the car. This means that it was still a question mark for us how good or how bad the car would be.
“But on Friday I was more satisfied with more balance than normal, and I think we know a little better how to set a car till now. This allows us to take small steps after each session instead of changing a lot of things throughout the weekend. Obviously I have helped a lot in qualifying.”
Put in lessons from zandvoort
Where Verustapen talks about a better Friday, he could not even remember the last time he felt very comfortable in the red bull car during practice: “It has already been long ago. Also, with the fact that we have changed only small things in the weekend, have been long ago.”
According to Vastapane, this better set-up direction is more important than the new floor upgrade launched at the end of this week for the success of the red bull.

“I think we have learned a lot about this year’s car at the zandwort, and I hope we can use that knowledge for the rest of the season,” he said. “Of course, I say that our car works a little better on the medium and low-downfores track, because we always have quite intelligent between the corners. This is something that you can manage a little better around this track.”
Vestappen’s set-up option key for Monza Poll?
Beyond the texts of the zandwort, there has been another important factor in Monza: Vastapane pushed himself before the eligibility on the final set-up options. This is what is his radio message after merit – “This work done! Relax there, it is all good” – referred to.
“Before qualifying, some people within the team wanted to make some more efforts with the set-up, but I said: ‘No, we should not do so.” “When I went back to my room, I was still suspecting some faces and some people on that set-up direction. But I felt, ‘This is what we need to do,’ and fortunately it did it.”
When reported that the final call was higher than the team, Verustapane explained in the Dutch media session: “Okay, in the end, you make these decisions with many people, as well as GP (Gianpiero Lambias) and some other people around me.
“Of course, I also understand why some questions were asked and some people liked a different direction.

Top speed compared to a weapon McLaren,
It did the work – although Vastapane still had to distribute an impressive Q3 lap.
“I did not make any big mistake in both of my Q3 laps,” he said. “It is always very difficult to achieve on this track. It is not always easy to make such a high speed in these two aes, but it is not always easy to hit the apex properly, but today it all came together.”
At her top, Verustapane got the benefit of a little top speed on McLaren, something that can prove useful in the race: “I think I have a little higher speed, but eventually you need to move around the corners faster.
