SpaceX Starship exploded on Wednesday night during a test at SpaceX’s Starbase Boca Chika, Texas.
Around 11 pm on Wednesday, “Starship, who prepared for the tenth flight test, experienced a big discrepancy at a test stand in the Starbase,” Spacex said In a post on X.
The company said, “A security clear area around the site was maintained throughout the operation and all personnel are safe and accounted for.” “Our starbase team is actively working with local authorities to secure the test site and immediate surrounding area. There is no threat to residents in the surrounding communities, and we ask that individuals do not try to contact the area while continuing to operate.
The rocket explosion was caught on camera by several livestreams of the starbase.

Cameron County Constable Prekut 1 shared a nasaspasflight stream on its Facebook page.
“Wow! Wow! No,” a man can be heard saying that the explosion occurred once. “Oh my god.”
It is written in the caption at the bottom of the stream: “SpaceX is expected to conduct a stable fire test of ship 36. Second in this series of tests for Flight 10 10.”
