Sony has announced a new facility for this Camera authenticity solutionExtending options for the news room to address the challenge of certifying digital images. Verify the beta release of the camera Authenticity allows for the construction of the dedicated URL for information so that third party can look directly information.
The new camera verified beta feature allows news organizations to release outer URLs for images with embedded digital signatures. This means that third parties, such as readers, partners and other media, can see direct verification through the reliable URL released by Sony’s verification site. Organizations also have the option of which authenticity they want to share during publication and delivery.
The camera Verififaifififa feature is based on Sony’s digital signature system, which it has been developing for the last few years. When made with compatible cameras, images can be embedded at the time of capture C2PA (alliance for content perfection and authenticity) digital signatures and Sony’s ownership 3D depth. This feature was earlier available only to select organizations, however.
Now, Digital Signature is available for purchase through upgrade license Camera authenticity solution websiteWhich means that more professionals will be able to use it. It is compatible only with Sony A1 II (Ver. 2.00 or later), A1 (Ver. 3.00 or later), A9 III (Ver. 3.00 or later), A7S III (Ver. 4.00 or later) and A7 IV (Ver. 5.00 or later). Sony states that the image verification site, where information of authenticity can be seen, will initially be available only to select news organizations, and vary by the availability area.
Sony also said that this video is planned to add support for the content “2025 after falling.” Given that generic AI videos are getting better and easy to produce, this material is an important additional step for authenticity.

San Diego, 26 June, 2025 – Today, Sony Electronics announced the beta release of the camera verified, a new feature of its camera authenticity solution*1 This enables the external sharing of image authentic information through a dedicated URL. It has been developed to help news organizations to help organizations to address the increasing challenge of verifying the authenticity of digital images in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
As the AI-borne and manipulated materials are rapidly sophisticated, the need for reliable, verified imagery has never been high, especially for media professionals. Sony’s camera is designed to meet this requirement by embedding the authenticity solution C2PA (alliance for content proven and authenticity).*2 Digital signature and Sony’s ownership 3D depth information directly into the image in the moment of capture.
This solution records the information of C2PA digital signature and Sony’s ownership 3D depth in the camera at the moment of capture, allowing the authenticity of the image to be verified on the image verification site*3With the newly added “camera verified” beta, news organizations can release the uril for images with embedded digital signatures, which allows the third party to see the verification results through the reliable URL issued directly by the verification site.*4With this feature, organizations can choose specific authenticity items to share during publishing and distribution process, which can enable rapid spread of reliable, verificationable materials.

Sony plans to expand the support for video content after 2025 as part of its ongoing commitment to promote reliable digital media. With activities on the C2PA Steering Committee, Sony aims to contribute to improving material credibility in the media field.
