we love bowl dishesAnd this is honestly how we eat most of our food as busy moms and business owners. They’re absolutely great for meal prep because you can prepare the ingredients ahead of time, and then when busy weekend dinners arrive, all you need to do is assemble and enjoy! These Sloppy Joe Bowls are just that – we hope you love them as much as we do 🤗

Ingredients of our Sloppy Joe Bowls

  • Dirty Joe Meat: Our Ground Beef Sloppy Joe uses house made sauce. Why? It’s more flavorful, and uses simple ingredients like tomato sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire, and brown sugar (a pantry staple already available in most of our kitchens).
  • Roasted Sweet Potatoes: We like to cut our sweet taters into cubes and fry them while we prepare the rest of the bowl’s ingredients.
  • Cabbage Slice: A simple cabbage and red onion tossed in a vinegar dressing adds the perfect spiciness and crunch to these slushy bowls.
  • Chopped Pickles: Growing up in the Midwest, we always served our sloppy joes with either pickle spears or chopped pickles.

here’s a tip!

Make sure to let the meat simmer at least 10 minutes In sauce. This will allow all the flavors to combine and create a deliciously bold flavor.
