At the age of 27, Reese Cooper has officially entered life where he needs to be ready for a wedding circuit. But when his cousin recently tied a knot in South Carolina, he found himself in an irony position, after almost a decade of designing, to hit a ‘mass-pioneering’ retailer for the last minute suit on his way to the airport. “I was so,” it’s ridiculous, I need to fix it, “the designer recalled in a showroom in the upper maris, where his names were both on the Mainevier Collection and his lighter-pris RCOS line.
For spring, Cooper set up a more mature, sewn, and reconstituted the California casual out with most unisex offers, which would easily pass the muster in higher settings while maintaining sporty touch. Repstop cords pointed to the waist on a harrington jacket in blazers, a trench and nylon; Overseized cargo pockets gave a fresh functionality to button-down or a printed poncho, yet a black, white and red houndstoth looked crisp and sophisticated. As usual, his signature carbinner, a piece-designed piece by a former aerospace engineer befriended Instagram, provided a thrin.
In their process, the designer explained, “My favorite thing is personally to take something that you will find traditionally, then take the right thing and keep it around in the wrong place or other way.” It is not that anything was seen outside the place here. Last Tuesday, Cooper’s chosen family pose, among them stylist Savanna White, traveled to an hour north north of LA for Angels National Forest. There, his model used to pose on a rock in the San Gabriel River, at one place the designer discovered an increase. In a description, he shot this lookbook with a thumb from his friends in local forest service (search for new development in that budding relationship in the next season). It speaks of Cooper’s interest in building construction on the community, a philosophy that he absorbed from Virjil Abola. “If you are doing something fun, people who want to live around, it should focus,” he said.
