It is no surprise that so many former Rafa Racing Club Porsche Carreera Cup GB Juniors are enjoying the successful 2025 season. Charlie Eastwood has achieved a third Le Mans 24 -hour class podium after a charging performance during the night, Dan Harper has been a race winner at the GTD Pro division of the highly competitive IMSA Sportscar Championship, and Harry King recently stood at the top in the Gold Cup of Driving Cup, spa for the Max VerustaPen squad.
Harper and Adam Smalli (The Gold Class Runner-Up) also depicted that spa grid, as alumni of the junior scheme all progress themselves towards the peak of sportscar racing. Those impressive performances should probably be expected to see the careful process of Porsche when selecting their next stars of the future. And this is a process that is going on again.

The current Rafa racing club is trying to be a sixth consecutive driver to claim Carrera Cup Crown as part of Junior James Walis Initiative and earlier this year won his first victory in the class landmark 400th race. He is full of praise for the program and it gives opportunities to young drivers to start in their careers. Walis says, “This is a special award for winning, it is largely a praise, knowing that you have been selected from a lot of entrances,” urges drivers born between November 30, 2003 to 4 November 2009. “I think Porsche provides an amazing foundation for a racing driver.
“Although people only look at driving, even from the media, fitness, psychological support, and access by you, there is a lot of support in every aspect. With support, they are so open and I can call any Porsche team. It is important that it is important that you just zoom in the driving side, you don’t have to maximize every minute.”
Walis was selected after an intense firing at Silverstone and it was said that reaching the finals is beneficial for young drivers. “Obviously, everyone wants to win, but you learn a lot if you make it in the final,” he says. “Even the interview phase is very good and is an important skill for learning.”
