This new Shingle-style house in the coastal road island sees the Nyagrate pond and the block island sound, and the owners of the house wanted to do more and more outdoor living, as much as possible. “This is really a special place, and they prefer to host lobster boils,” says Mich Votolato, designer of Swinore Builders. “We designed three-season porches for decks and their family celebrations.”
Originally, the house was conceived as a holiday destination for Massachusetts and their two teenage daughters. After the completion of the house, however, the family decided to make it their full -time residence. Charlstown location is filled with memories for one of the owners of the house, and other extended family members have homes. Family ceremonies and indoor-outdoor Living left the design of the first floor spaces.
