Pireli conducted his first Motogp test before taking the role of tire supplier since 2027, with it set to test his new compounds in Miesano in September.
The modification of MotogP technical regulations for 2027 includes switch in the new from Michelin Tires Compound provided by Italian company PireliWhich has already been working with Moto2 and Moto3 classes for many years, such as in addition to a series such as Formula 1 and World Superbikes.
Since the agreement was announced in early March, the Italian tire manufacturer has intensified the development of its first prototype compounds and is now waiting for them to keep them on track and receive response from riders.
Initially, there was a first test Planned for the week after Aragon GP In Motorland, but various issues stopped those tests from being held.
After further discussion between the teams and the Italian manufacturer, Pirelli put the Motogp tire on Misano for the first time on Tuesday 16 September, confirming the autosport by sources.
Date falls two days later San marino gp And the day after the official IRTA test, which occurs on the same track on Monday.

The test bike aims to repeat as closely as possible about what 2027 prototypes will be, which means current 1000cc bike without riding-height devices, with minimum aerodynamic package, and power shortage between 40 and 50 horsepower.
This will be covered by the cost match-based manufacturer produced by the first Pirelli test.
A point of friction between Pirelli and Motogi teams focused on who would tolerate the cost of tire tests. Initially, the manufacturer agreed to cover the cost of this first test, but later running would be funded by teams.
This inspired the backlash from the grid, as the postal testing for 2026 would be more wider and will include increasing participation from full -time riders. However, a agreement has now allegedly reached, but the details have not been revealed.
The goal of these tests is to try an early series of various tire compounds that Pirelli is designed in preparation for admission to Motogp. When testing the compounds, Pirelli’s goal is to collect more and more information to continue their development program.
The next step, in 2026, will have to organize several test sessions in different circuits to fix the compounds.
In this second phase, Pirelli hopes that full -time Motogp Riders will rapidly include the development of tires starting in the 2027 season.
