Our printer is here!

“It is all about print.” I am confident that the first time I kept a print of one of my pictures, and the feeling has only increased over time. I could probably not deny the power of a good digital image, but the tangible nature of a top quality print would always be the supreme rule. So I am very excited right now!

Please welcome … Photography life new photo printer!

We did not find just a printer, but one of the only three commercially available printers offers a lot that offers a lot Twelve Various colors of ink. While most of the color printers have only four – cmyk, which stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black – our new printer includes cyan, light cyan, vivid magenta, vivid light magenta, yellow, orange, green, violet, matte black, photo black, gray and light gray. (I am excited about how many times those colors appear in my landscape photography, and for four different colors of gray for B&W print.)

Here is described how it looks with all 12 ink installed in our new printer!

If all of this seems like an advertisement for the printer we purchased, unfortunately, it is not. All these devices are a major investment on our share and some photography is not with the cooperation of EPSON or someone else. I will leave you the full list of gear today (which will be for the post later), but I want to mention it as well as printer and world class color calibration equipment-we Too To compare their properties, purchased more than 80 unique types of photo paper and assessed the color gamal of each color added to our printer.

Overkall? Perhaps this is so, but I knew that our team would not be satisfied with this effort until we did it correctly. We set our scenic spots on the highest quality prints that can be obtained today, and from the first day of this project it is our guide light.

Epson P7570 Palet comes
The printer reached our building in this huge crate and barely fit through the door. Then we had to bring it up.

Of course, like photography, what is also more important of the operator’s skill. I have already been doing extensive research in the last two years and making test prints from commercial laboratories, but you only get this kind of thing till now. Now that the new printer has a house in our studio, it is time to pursue our knowledge as far as possible to test their abilities and create the most extraordinary print in the person.

By the way, I planned to take too many photos of the entire process of the printer’s arrival and the entire process of transferring it, but you know how plans run. It was an all-hand-on-deck moment to bring this demon to our studio and bring it to our studio! In fact, the shipping company says that the weight of the package was 341 pounds – in the north of 150 kg – and right now, based on the position of my arms, I believe. (We had planned to move it with four people, but one of the moves I had hired was no-show, so we had to do with three.)

For our goals with printer? Some photography life readers must have heard whispering about the printing business that we are starting, but it is beyond that. Once everything is tested and running smoothly, we are going to use this printer for paper reviews, printers comparison, our team’s own fine art print and even art breeding for museums. Some of them will be very soon, so keep an eye on the photography life homepage for more print-related materials coming in your way!
