Not only another trip tripi: Falkam Trade Qualocrock Travel Tipi Review

let’s face it. So many travel tripets share the same features and flaws there. It offers a smartest solution that expands the purpose of the journey trippai.

In the last three years, so many travel tripi is almost perfectly looking, with the same sets of features and boundaries. A lot of innovation has been observed in some of them, but it always boils in a slight detail that creates or breaks the compatibility of a tripod with the user’s workflow.

Travel Tipi – Not necessarily only for travel use – often tolerate more expectations. In a lot of portable and light form, a good one has to offer a strong stance, takes a significant load, and the user may be able to adapt to various requirements. The issue is that a single trip tripi should play several roles for a serious photographer. This tipi of Falkam may have carried forward many others with a small but important details.

Falkam Trade Travel TipiThe recently announced traditional Pro and Light versions should not be wrong – Falkam’s premium was the first of the travel tripod line. This 4-section comes with carbon fiber legs, forms a cross-perfect cylinder with its flat carbon fiber rods with upper 3/4. Due to three twist locks with rubber grips, 1/4 bulk rises slightly above. Each legs have removable rubber legs at the end of each leg that reveal the inherent metal spikes for better traction.

When folded, the Falkam tradition is 18.3 inches (47.3 cm) long. The center’s column was trimmed down and the legs wide spread, the trippai could be less than 6.6 inches (16.8 cm) above the ground, including clearances and heads. When the legs and center columns are completely increased, the tripod reaches a maximum height of 61.1 inches (155.2 cm).

Trade Quicalk Travel Tipi weighs just 3.3 pounds (1.5 kg) and can comfortably hold 11 LBS (5 kg) camera gear. For reference, this payload can catch a full frame mirrorless camera and a standard 70–200 mm f/2.8 telephoto zoom lens with some allowance for additional accessories.

A minor yet impressive details

There is a 12.5 -inch center pillar in the middle of the three legs that resembles a triangular beam. There is a unique mechanism at the upper 2/5 of the beam that allows the user to trim the center column and allow the lower section to allow a very low angle shoot without using any tool. It uses a C-shaped lock that is unlocked by pressing and pulling the bottom latch. Retatching the lower segment involves re -receiving the bus beam and hanging back both ends where they were.

Bonus features

Each of the three corners on the central joint of the tripod has three different characteristics. There is a small knob in a corner that controls the lock for the height of the center column. Another corner has a standard 1/4-inch screw thread in which pins can be used with ports to lock which can be used to attach friction weapons and other accessories to the edge of the tip.

In the second corner, there is a screw-on version of Falkam’s F22 mounting plate, secured by two small hex screws. This plate can be used as a quick release mechanism to attach other F22 items by Falkam, such as their friction weapons or even handles.

ball head

The traditional tipi has an upside down ball head fixed at the upper end of the center column and cannot be replaced with other heads. Inverted the joint of the ball is wrapped around by a dome -like surface attached to the upper part and comes with the same rung for more bent angles or shoots. Well that is a curved horizontal lever that serves as a lock for the ball joint action. Unlike the lever, there is a small friction control knob that refines the movement of the ball.

There is a sliding switch above the lever that controls the locking of the growing platform above. On its right is another knob that controls the 360-degree panning of the top platform, which allows the user to maintain levels and alignment when paning. Just above the knob is a bubble level that can be used as a guide for balance.

The growing platform on the head is compatible with mounting plates that follow the Arca-SWISS size and format, including the modified F38 plates of the Phalkam. Whether a f38 or any other Arca-SWISS-compatible plate allows for swift mounting using a packed lock mechanism, which involves pushing the plate down to lock it only in place. With the bat, it is appreciated that this class uses a more universal growing clamp rather than limiting compatibility for F38 plates.

Application and user experience

Caused by a combination of facilities and capabilities Falkam TradeIt offers an all-in-one functional trippai for photographers that are traveling or who prefer a more portable form of tripod.

Whereas when relatively thin and small, it is certainly not the lightest journey trippai – and this is a good thing. It still provides significant durability in air conditions, making it safe and more reliable. It becomes easy to catch in transit in cylindrical form, and when it comes with a neoprene bag, I personally want it to come with a better bag with some pockets and a zip. A combination of maximum height and payload capacity makes it usable for full frame camera gear and heavy lenses, which do not compromise in shooting even in distant external places.

In fact, most of the characteristics found on this tripod have been seen in some way or other travel in the market are made in tripod. Brands such as Benro, Peak Designs, Leopoto, and a handful have released similar competent tripods. However, what the Falcum makes the trayuut makes the clever center column adjustment mechanism that enables it to shoot very few angles with a switch flicks. Other travel tripods simply cannot go, and which may require the use of screws to remove part of the center column or even need to replace it completely. Among the tripets of all of us seen by us, it is the one that reduces the amount of effort required to decide the location or shot.

Due to the flexibility of use, this trippai can be used for casual shoots, when traveling, even in relatively harsh conditions for landscape photography, and when shooting with significant foregrounds when shooting for low angles. Overall, it can be the current travel tripi to beat in terms of functionality and intelligent design.
