Lewis Hamilton And Charles Lakeler Not expecting their new Ferrari Car flooring to make a major impact on their competition after a low-key Friday in Austrian Grand Prix of Formula 1.

Ferrari brought a fully modified floor in the red bull ring, with a change in the body, edges and floor wings as well as a repropild defuse to go with it.

The team hopes that the new design gives its floor additional aerodynamic load during various cornering speeds, and thus promotes net performance in all situations.

“Long -term runs seem more positive. We were similar to the fastest people. But the problem is that everything is so close that as soon as you start P6 or P7, it is very difficult to come back to the race where you should be. In qualifying, a lot of work is to be done.”

Lakeler said that the new floor gave the expected aero number but said it was difficult to feel the difference. “It is very difficult for me to comment,” he said.

“People hope that as a driver you just go with a new part and boom, it’s straightforward. But we are still speaking about very good benefits. And if you have not done FP1 and if you have no reference, it is very difficult to feel.

Hamilton paid tribute to his team to give a new floor to his team and resolve his gearbox issues before the FP2, but also felt that it was “not great” for the horse running on Friday.

The seven -time world champion said, “We had a problem with gearbox in the morning, which was clearly difficult and disappointing for everyone in the garage, as the boys did a great job.”

“But you go out and you can only lap, so we didn’t get a long run run. But I think we recovered with it. They did a great job of changing the gearbox and getting ready for P2.

“But Charles was in sixth place, and I was close to a second, so it was not ideal. We would make some changes and try to get a little closer, but we will not be in front.

“A huge amount of work was going on to bring the floor, but as you see, it is not necessarily going to change our competition. The car does not feel really bad. It’s just a very large part, pace war.”
