Greenland has recently been in the news, but beyond the stories of the news, another side of the island has nothing to do with politics.
The Northeast Greenland National Park is the largest national park on Earth, which crosses the size of 166 of the 195 countries in the world. Its snow -made fosers, mammath glaciers, and the rights define the mountain landscape and provide a photographic treasure unlike another.
One of the biggest attraction of the park is its solitude. With no permanent human inhabitants (only a handful of researchers and topical patrol unit), you will find a forest ruled by Arctic elements – where wildlife and weather landscape shape. Here, the rugged geology – layers of temporary rocks placed bare by the air and reveal the formation of the Earth in all their raw beauty. Brief Arctic Summer, the sun bathes the tundra in a soft glow, brightening the carpets of moss and lichen into greens, oranges and gold palettes. Come in winter, convert the huge field of ice and ice into a minimum paradise.
Patience is necessary; Unexpected Arctic climate determines the speed of photography. Musk Oxon Mendor Mountains in groups in mountain slopes, echoes their calls in nuisance ceremonies from the walrus edge, and the Arctic fox glide like a ghost through the rocky area. Sebard colonies are also called home. And in these remote arctic seas, you can hold a fleeting glimpse of the males-and prepared for their unicorn-and beautiful Beluga whales, weave quietly through water in a timeless arctic ballet.
And the moment you hold a polar bear while walking on a packet of unbreakable ice? This is the type of image that re -defines your connection with photography.
As the summer decrease and set in autumn, the arctic light moves to a more dramatic ton. The days become smaller, casting a hot, golden glow which fade in the pastel sky in the evening. By night, there is a chance to sweep across the horizon for northern lights. This changing light in this region creates a landscape that strengthens itself with each passing time.
Reaching Northeast Greenland National Park is an adventure in itself. The same method often occurs by special expedition vessels, and travel is worth it. These water remains unwanted to a large extent, and the trips require careful planning due to changing snow and hidden hazards.
As you reach its remote northern from the southern edge of the park, ice sometimes takes to the shifting forms. Towering icebergs are seen by melting and seawater – originating from the sea like a frozen cathedral. On the north side, the endless sections of sea ice across the horizon form a panorama of shifting shapes and texture. This ice is not just a stable surface; It is a living, developed force that gives shelter to many of the most prestigious species of Arctic.
Perhaps this (huge) corner of Greenland really sets how it does penis in your memory – crisp wind, the soft shine of autumn light, and a shocking peace that inspires. Adventure here is not only about the pictures that you will take; This is about stories you will bring home.
