Nitish painted in an exercise game on Friday, where he is understood to bowl without any inconvenience. The BCCI Medical Panel handled Nitish carefully as he remains central for India’s team management testing plans, with a tour of England soon after the IPL season ended in late May. His rehabilitation originally took a fortnight more time than three weeks.
Nitish was one of the five players, who was ahead of the mega auction after a 2024 season breakout, where he scored 303 runs at a strike rate of 142.92. His bowling was not as impressive as he took three wickets and scored at 11.62.
After the tour, Nitish expressed eagerness to work with India Arun, former India’s bowling coach in Chennai. However, this step was not due to the side strain.
