Yamaha has confirmed that its new V4 Motogp bike will run for the first time in San Marino Grand Prix next month.
Riding duties will be assigned to test Rider Augusto Fernandez on 12–14 September.
Paulo Pavasio, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, said in a video on Monday, “For the Mire, we are looking at Augusto Fernandez that our new M1 prototype race with the V4 engine.”
“This is an excellent preview and a solid sign of our commitment to the future, while we continue to move forward with determination to get the best from every race weekend.”
Fernandez raced V4 in Misano, expecting many people in Motogp Paddock. Similarly, there is a hope that Race Riders including Fabio Quartaro will get the taste of the bike in the test which happened one day after the race.
Yamaha’s plan for testing, however, has not yet been officially confirmed. In addition to the lead rider quarter, satellite rider Jack Miller is also expected to play an important role in the development of V4 engine.

It follows Miller Finally get node to live with the pramac squad for 2026 After a long period of uncertainty. The extended deal was sealed in Hungarian Grand Prix later last week.
While Quartaro only knows life as an in-line for-rider in Motogi, Miller has experience riding V4 machinery in both KTM and Ducati.
2021 World Champion Quartaro has still pressurized Yamaha to carry out the onset of V4 race in view of the ongoing struggles with the current bike.
The French had said last week that if the new machine proved in the lap within half a second, He will be in favor of running it,
