New Yamaha V4 Motogi will run in San Marino GP


Yamaha has confirmed that its new V4 Motogp bike will run for the first time in San Marino Grand Prix next month.

Riding duties will be assigned to test Rider Augusto Fernandez on 12–14 September.

Paulo Pavasio, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, said in a video on Monday, “For the Mire, we are looking at Augusto Fernandez that our new M1 prototype race with the V4 engine.”

“This is an excellent preview and a solid sign of our commitment to the future, while we continue to move forward with determination to get the best from every race weekend.”

Fernandez raced V4 in Misano, expecting many people in Motogp Paddock. Similarly, there is a hope that Race Riders including Fabio Quartaro will get the taste of the bike in the test which happened one day after the race.

Yamaha’s plan for testing, however, has not yet been officially confirmed. In addition to the lead rider quarter, satellite rider Jack Miller is also expected to play an important role in the development of V4 engine.
