New Galaxy S26 leaks fuel Exynos vs Snapdragon debate

SAMSUNGare supposed to Galaxy S26 The series is going to be unveiled in a few months, and A new leak is reportedly revealing the chip that base galaxy S26 May come with Pro model. It seems that we are indeed looking at regional fragmentation.

Evidence revealed that the Galaxy S26 Pro will use the Exynos 2600

galaxy S26 The series may be slightly different from what Samsung has done so far. Rumors claim the ‘vanilla’ version will be called galaxy S26 Pro, while there may be a Galaxy S26 Edge To support it. We still don’t know if it will be instead of the Plus model or as an additional fourth model. Galaxy S26 Ultra As always, expect the worst of the three.

Now, the folks at SamMobile have found evidence that allegedly confirms that the base model in the series – which will galaxy S26 Pro – Will use Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip.

According to indications received by SamMobile it appears that galaxy S26 The Pro may come with the Exynos chip in most regions around the world. The same phone in the US and China may be powered by Qualcomm’s chip (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5). Similar to previous years, where Samsung split the two chips regionally. galaxy S26 The Plus is also said to come with the same chip configuration. Now, we’re not entirely sure if the Plus model is coming, but the publication claims it is. The Exynos 2600 will reportedly be built on Samsung’s 2nm process. The chip is said to have a ten-core CPU, including ARM C1-series CPU cores. For graphics tasks, it will use the Xclipse 950 GPU.
Reports indicate that Samsung has actually managed to move forward with Exynos in terms of the A19 Pro iPhone 17 series. This chip is said to be faster than Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, we still don’t know if the Exynos 2600 will be as fast as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

It seems that regional division is really happening

Samsung has previously done regional segmentation for previous Galaxy S models. And Samsung fans don’t like that situation at all, because historically, Samsung’s chips have performed worse in raw power and efficiency than Qualcomm’s counterparts.

With the regional split, some Galaxy S buyers are getting an Exynos-powered phone, while those in the US, China or Samsung’s home market are getting a more powerful Qualcomm-powered option, but for the same money. And that would understandably ruffle some feathers.

However, we don’t know how well the Exynos 2600 will perform. Samsung has probably managed to make it on par with the Snapdragon alternative.

The launch of Galaxy S26 will be interesting

Although the chip situation worries me, I’m still quite excited about what new galaxies will have in store for us in early 2026. Rumor has it that we may see a new design; Obviously, we may see a bit of a change in the lineup, and all of these things get me excited. I felt like the smartphone market had become boring, and now, it looks like it’s vibrant once again.
