“To prioritize the safety of our patron and employees, we have taken a difficult decision to close our sweet July cafe and store in Okland,” the post read. “We have preferred to be a part of Okland and are grateful to the community that opened its arms and embraced us. It has been an honor to serve you.
“While this chapter comes close, Sweet is an exciting new ventures on the horizon in July that we can’t wait to share.”
The last day will be on 9 February.
Ayesha Curry launched the Sweet July brand in April 2020, with a magazine, product line and a store. The brick-and-mortar shop included coffee, cooked goods and other items. Okland Store opened in 2021.
A thorn appeared in favor of the crime business in Oklaland. The shop faced a break-in in 2022, which temporarily closed the business. At that time SF Gate reported that the glass in front of the store was shattered, and some items were stolen.
Curry’s brand name was inspired by NBA Star for three months out of four of his children.
