Federal Trade Commission (FTC) historic antitrust case starts today (Monday) in Washington, DC against Mata
The Consumer Protection Agency says that Meta, which was already with Facebook, in 2012 and WhatsApp in 2014, bought those platforms before developing the competition in serious rivals to eliminate competition – establishing what it claims is that there is an illegal monopoly in the social media scenario.
In the next two months, the US government will try to prove that Meta used its dominance to squash possible threats rather than proper competition.

Case, FTC V MetaUS President Donald Trump was filed during the first administration. In recent weeks, Zuckerberg personally advocated Trump to leave the FTC case. However, these efforts have failed and the matter today goes on trial with the fate of the company which will be decided by American District Judge James Boseberg.
