The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Pasadena Convention Center on January 10, where evacuees from the Eaton Fire are taking shelter and receiving support. They were photographed serving food and talking closely with local people and providing comfort, as well as emergency workers who had been on the ground for the past week.
Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, who spoke to Meghan, told reporters: “This is his second visit today. We were here earlier today and they were serving food anonymously. No one knew that they were serving food wearing masks. He did not come here to campaign. They came here to work.”

He added: “We then went to meet some of the families in the affected area and saw some of the affected area firsthand. Then he wanted to visit first responders and personally thank them for their efforts to help our families and our neighbors.
The couple was also spotted with chef Jose Andres World Central Kitchen and Roy Choi, who was serving food at the center.
