Luke Littler’s opponent starts mind games after Darts Live star cries

Gary Anderson may have crashed out of the World Championship in his first match, but the Flying Scotsman has urged darts chiefs to keep the tournament at Alexandra Palace.

It comes amid claims from senior PDC officials, including premier Barry Hearn, that the event could be in line with a venue change, with Saudi Arabia listed as a possible destination.

Anderson said: “No, it should stay where it is. I mean, there is talk of going to Dubai. Can you imagine our crowd going to Dubai? No, I don’t think it would be good. Yes, you need a big crowd, but it works, right? It just works.

“As you say, there’s a buzz about Saudi, Dubai. I think it’s a bit of Barry Hearn’s carelessness, isn’t it? I think the supporters, there are people who are struggling to get there. It’s not just getting there, it’s the tickets, the hotels, the flights, the food.
