Our Falafel Bowl recipe is packed with delicious Middle Eastern-inspired flavors. This crispy falafel is the perfect balance of creamy hummusand a fresh and tangy salad, all served over fluffy turmeric rice. Vegetarian friendly and easy to make, this falafel bowl is a must try!

This falafel bowl is a new addition to our collection and we know you’ll love it just as much! The homemade falafel wowed us ladies and everything else is so fresh and delicious.

To make this beautiful bowl (I mean look at her), there are a few elements:

  • Garbanzo Beans: Also known as chickpeas, these are the main ingredient in falafel and provide a good source of plant-based protein.

  • Feta: The way feta can take a dish from good to great is absolutely magical. Sprinkle some crumbled feta on top of your bowl for an extra special touch.

How to Prepare Dried Garbanzo Beans for Falafel

These falafel rice bowls aren’t difficult to make, but it does require some planning beforehand, and it starts with garbanzo beans. Homemade Falafel,

  • Prepare salad. Put all the salad ingredients in a bowl and toss. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes or more for best flavor.

  • Mix all the ingredients of cucumber chutney in a bowl.

  • Assemble bowls by dividing rice salad, falafel and hummus evenly into each bowl. Pour cucumber chutney on top and enjoy.

  • Do not use canned garbanzo beans for this recipe. We’ve tested this recipe with both ground beans and canned garbanzo beans that give you mush.
  • Air Fryer Instructions: Preheat air fryer to 400ºF. Place the falafel in a basket and spray with cooking spray. Make sure to coat them in oil. Sprinkle salt on them. Air fry the falafel for 10 minutes. Remove them from the air fryer. Cancel.
  • If you want to spice up this bowl, add a scoop of harissa sauce to the bowl or top with red pepper flakes.
