The work of both Andrews and Femia sees his childhood and natural surroundings through history, fantasy and queue lenses – the principle of Gaga’s style of Ovure. The graduate collection of Andrews was inspired by photographs of floods in 1958 in Vikford, his hometown. For Femia, this dress reflects their memories of rural areas of Belgium- forests, insects and cobwee. As you proceed through their collection, looks more imaginaryly converted. She was inspired by the folk songs of history, such as Slavic Baba Yaga and Italian Befana, as well as Victorian Lady Silhoots, 17th century Penners, Puffed Sleels and Haram Pants.
