The hostess with the most! Lady Bird Café owner Misty Mansouri is preparing for the holiday season, and to celebrate, she sat down with ET to share her festive holiday party essentials.
For starters, Mansouri believes that serving simple, delicious dishes is the way to go, and she’s following that approach at her Los Angeles, California-based restaurant.
She shares, “Visitors can expect sophisticated comfort food with beautiful and fresh ingredients that work together to create simple, yet flavorful and delicious dishes.”
Some menu must-haves: “Our short ribs served with mashed potatoes, steak frites, seafood risotto, hearty soups and chicken Milanese are seasonal favorites.”
When it comes to decorating, Mansouri takes a “the more, the merrier” mentality.
“We are full of elaborate Christmas trees, fluorescent lights, traditional color palettes and fireplaces, and velvet bows with cozy and comfortable blankets,” she explains.
If you can’t bring it to the eatery, Mansouri says you can still taste it at home.
“Go higher with your dress code and attire. This is an ideal time for fur, beautiful wool and cashmere,” she explains.
And to avoid any hosting mistakes, Mansouri recommends prioritizing the needs of party attendees.
She suggests, “It’s going to be a cold winter, so make sure you have plenty of ways to keep your guests warm. You should also offer alternatives to alcoholic beverages, like fun mocktails.”
