Kalle Rowanpera believes that he has started unlocked the mysteries for speed on the new -2025 World Rally Championship tires after dominating the rally Isla Karnarus on Friday morning.
The two-time world champion has started a surprisingly slow start for the season, which has struggled to customize its driving style for the new Hankuk Rubber which has contributed to Finn to Adrift 57-Points in the Championship Battle.
However, the Toyota driver, to score a podium this year, reversed the formbook in stunning fashion, won three stages of the three on Friday morning, the smooth asphalt was held on the streets to lead the eight -time world champion Sebastian Ogier. Championship leader Elephin Evans Truth third, another 2.4s in arrears.
“It was definitely a good morning for us,” said Rowanpera. “It looked very normal in the car, nothing is crazy, but how it should be on these roads, you just need to make a good flow. You can’t overdrive it, and it seems that the car is working very well for us.”
When the beginning of the season was pressurized to explain that he said: “I think we have found a way to go with some ideas and car, especially with these new tires, and I think it makes the biggest difference.
“Of course we now have all the new stages and notes (in the Canary Islands) and I think we have done a great job with those who have even feel very comfortable to go to twisting roads that are very difficult to normally go to twisting roads.
“I can’t really say any particular things (changed), it is getting a total balance where I normally want it, where we struggle too much at the beginning of the season. Now, we are getting better when we are doing some work.”

Famous for his speed on the Ogier, asphalt, admitted that the Rowanpera was in the ‘A separate league’ and there was no response to his team’s partner’s speed.
Ogier said, “He (Kalale) is definitely a man of that time and he is in his league this morning. I have no answer to match his speed at this time.”
“This is a fine morning for me, but I am still not 100% happy with the balance of the car and learn this tire, but we have some ideas for the afternoon.”
Hyundai was surprised by severe lack of speed
While Toyota captured the top three positions, rivals Hyundai suffered a surprisingly severe lack of speed and the team is uncertain why it is behind the Japanese market.
Adrian Formox In the fourth (+34.2s) emerged as the best of Hyundes, while in the eighth place Oat Tanak (+42.9S) and Thierry neurvilleIn the ninth, (+45.4s} was shocked by struggles that they were facing to speed up their advanced 2025 i20 N rally 1 cars.
“We have understood, this (car) is missing everything, so you can’t drive fast, you cannot attack,” said the champion Neauville who shown the pace during the Sierna Morena Test rally on Asphalt early this month.

“I don’t know if I know the solution right now, I don’t think anyone does, so I will try to remain calm. It’s not really surprising, but the struggle is bigger than before.”
Team partner Tanak told that the Understair was at the core of its problems, his car worked very hard to the front tires.
The 2019 world champion said, “We somehow know where the issue is coming from, but why it is showing so strongly on this upgraded chassis compared to the previous car.”
Hyundai’s technical director Francois-XAwear Demisson said, “When we see the time that we are far away (from the solution). It’s amazing because two weeks ago in the south of Spain (testing) it seemed fine,” said Hyundai’s technical director Francois-XAwear Demisson.
“There is something that we have changed and perhaps we were very confident after the rally. There is something that is not working here in the same way.”
