During the five decades, Neurosurgeon Dr. Jerry boxes had a continuous appearance in NASCAR, which helped the drivers navigate hard injuries in their careers. Sadly, he passed the way at the age of 90 earlier this week.
Dale Arnhard Junior. She called him “a friend for the NASCAR industry”, who helped many people during his long career as a medical professional. From drivers to owners and broadcasters, Arnhard was one of the many to share such feelings. NASCAR paid tribute to Fox’s Mike Joy and Larry McRenalds, as former drivers such as Jeff Burton, Kyle Patty, Rick Mast, Max Papis, Phil Parsons, Tod Bodin and Matt Tiff.
On Thursday, NASCAR Legend and Hendric motorsports executive Jeff gordon Dr. Sharing his personal story about the box, he joined the tribute.
“I am deeply saddened by the disadvantage of Dr. Jerry Petty,” read by Gordon’s post. “The person I was the most really trusted for anything related to the head, neck or spine. He helped me through some of the most difficult moments when I was working with severe back pain. But whatever was more than his medical expertise was his kindness. I had an impact on me and so many others in our game.”
It was also announced that all four hendric motorcycles Chevrolets will take Memorial Dials on their cars at the end of this week, Dr. Honoring Paytm for many of his contributions to the game. In a statement, HMS called him “leading neurosurgeons and medical advisors for countless drivers and teams” and “a dear person in the NASCAR community”. You can see the decal below in Gordon’s post:
