Is it the world’s largest 3D-printed house?

We love us: Every day we facilitate a remarkable place presented by our community, designers, builders and home owners. Is there one to share? Post it here.

Project Description:

Place: Singapore

From architect: “QR3D is a four -storey house, recently completed by Park+Associates (P+A), which is a home for Lim Koon Park, as a founder and principal of P+A, as a home for Lim Koon Park.”

“While 3D printing for construction in Singapore is certainly not new, it is mainly used for small scale and utilitarian uses, such as feature walls, planter troughs, and prefabricated bathroom units-A-Ab P+A for precedent of multicritory projects, P+A has displayed how it can be used, how can it be used. Forms and rigor. Bold innovation balanced with deep respect for memory. The house contains more than 90-percent 3D-crushed material, which is created by both site and off-site using a custom concrete mixture. The ambition was double folded: to display the practical feasibility of 3D printing in a notorious high-day industry, and to challenge the perception that digitally operated architecture should renounce emotion on the altar of efficiency.

“There is an Oculus in the heart of QR3D-A dramatic sculpture is raising a dramatic sculpture above the place of food. More than an architectural flourish, this is a calm tribute to a pre-house of the park, a neoclassical residence of the 1990s, which once stood on the same conspiracy. Are – Park says that their favorite place in the house is the dining area under Okulus, which transforms into different times of the day for the quality of light.

“But beyond beauty and emotional resonance, QR3D also defines the constructional logic. 3D printing labor reduces waste, and requires many trades, even the most complex architectural gestures simplify the gestures even in a spontaneous process. The cost of the soul.
