I put my swifter and microfiber MOP for testing and a clear winner came out

Cleaning floor is not one of my favorite tasks. I live in a house with hard wood or ceramic tile flooring in every room. Yes, a vacuum takes care of the rugs of the area, but I should use an MOP everywhere. Because of this, I wanted to make sure that I am using my best equipment; To do this, I installed a test.

To find the best tools for the job, I divided the test into two categories Swifter Weightjet vs. A wet mop and dried clothes vs. divided into a swifter with a dry dust mop. While a standard MOP may have a cotton, microfiber, or sponge mofed, I settled on a standard MOP with a microfber head for wet and dust mOP testing against both wet and dried swifters.

Here are the results of my one month test because I took care of my hard surface floor.

Dust, patience and hair removal

Before you clean any type of hard surface floor, it is important to remove loose dirt, dust and hair. There is no need to push around it when using the cleaning product. I tested Microfiber dust mop And a swifter with two different types of swifters dried clothes.

I tested a microfiber dust MOP with a loop of fiber that attracts and holds the dust and hair covering the floor. It worked well and I liked that the MOP head cover could be removed and thrown into a washer and reused dozens of times. If the head is not removable, it can be cleaned in a bucket of soap water.

Next, I used a swifter dry MOP with electrostatic sheets that wrap a flat MOP around the head to collect dust and hair. Since the swifter offers regular and heavy charges sheets with more fibers to trap more soil, I tested both on my hard surface floor.

Dry comparison

Microfiber MOP and Swifter dried MOP easily removed dust and hair.

When I was cleaning all the floors of my house, I had to take the microfiber MOP out and give a good shake to remove almost half the path through the process of dust and hair.

When using the swifter, I had to change the disposable fabric several times because each room requires at least one cloth to clean. The thick heavy-handed swifter clothes were exceptionally good in trapping a large amount of dust. Swifter furniture was best for use around the legs and in tight places behind the toilet as the head is small.

However, additional expenses of buying united-use disposable fabric makes Microfiber MOP winners for dry dust moping.

Dirty floor cleaning

Once I was removed loose dust and hair, it was time to clean the floor. I tested a microfiber MOP and my favorite floor cleaner and Swifter Weightjet And my hard wood and ceramic tile their recommended cleaner on the floor.

I tested a flat, microfiber MOP head, recommended with a commercial floor cleaner Hardwood flooringBecause I regularly take care of spills and dirty dog tracks immediately, I only need to moist the MOP monthly. Most of my houses are hard wood, so if the head of the MOP becomes extremely dirty while cleaning every room, I rinse it and write well before moist again with the floor cleaner.

For the washing room and bathroom, I use the same MOP, but switch to a microfiber head with a silicone scrubbing strip to help lift heavy dirt. To clean, I use a DIY cleaning solution of similar parts, which distilled white vinegar and water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid.

Swifter weight jet

Swifter provides both a weightjeet and power MOP for cleaning the floor. I tested the weightJet on both types of floors in my house, which is designed to absorb cleaning solutions and dirt with recommended swifter cleaning solutions with disposable pads. The MOP works by spraying the solution on the floor.

Uses and applications were simple, but it was a little difficult to replace the cleaning solution bottle when going on a different type of floor.

Wet comparison

I found that microfiber MOP and both types of floor cleaner worked better than Swifter Weightjet and its equivalent cleaner.

While cleaning her hard wood floor, I felt that the Swifter MOP sprayed very heavy and left a film on the surface that attracts dust and dirt. The volume of the spray was not too heavy for ceramic tile, but after drying there was a sticky residue.

Neither the MOP did an extraordinary job while cleaning the grout between ceramic tiles. Grout required some extra scrubbing,

final call

My last choice is one Microfiber moP Due to its versatility for both dry and wet moping, cost per use, and because it does not add as much waste to the landfill.
