Mercedes Driver George Russell Said he was “a little shocked” Max Verustapane Apologize for their Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix contact on social media.
Russell and Verustapane came to Barcelona to fly with three laps, when Verustapen was asked to quit their position by their red bull team, the Red Bull was asked to fear penalty after being ahead of Mercedes while out of the track.
The turn 5 versten slowed down and faster again when Russell passed him, traded a magnificent blow with his opponent that ended without loss, but punished the world champion by 10 seconds.
Verstappen did not want to address the incident initially, but Next week he admitted a mistake on his Instagram account,
“We had an exciting strategy and a good race in Barcelona until the safety car came out,” Vestepen posted. “The choice of our tire to the end and after the restart of the security car, some tricks promoted my frustration, taking a step that was not right and it should not have been. I always give everything for the team and emotions can move high.”
Commenting on the incident in Montreal, Russell said: “I was a little surprised to see him taking responsibility, because it is contrary to him.
“We really collided with each other at the airport a few days ago, but we did not even talk about it. He was there with his family and his newborn, talking about how he was walking. He was busy turning the pram and trying to get it through security scanner.

“So, look, there is nothing from me that I need to talk about. Did I be taken out of the race, I was definitely feeling very different. Finally, his actions benefited me, gave him cost, and I should say thanks.”
Straight after the race Russell felt his opponent as a “very intentional” stepBut reflecting on this, now Russell admitted that Vastapane wanted to intimidate him instead of making contact only.
“I want to believe that he did not deliberately try to crash with me, because it would be great,” he said. “I think he just tried to show who the boss was and excluded his elbow and just went wrong.
“Whatever he received, fined more than that, I think, a little more. But it all depends whether it is deliberately or not, eventually.”
Also, a penalty of 10-second, which dropped Vastapane to 10th place, the red bull driver is now a penalty point away from a race ban and needs to be obtained without any violations through the weekend of the upcoming Canada and Austria.
Speaking in a joking manner, Russell suggested that Vastapane could deliberately try and pick up a point to remove a weekend.
Russell said, “Perhaps knowing him that I do as I do, he will probably drive in an even more aggressive way, so he can be a weekend at home.” “I don’t know. Let’s hope!”
